Explore the frontiers of future technologies.
The Army Research Lab (ARL) Military Engagement Program strengthens the U.S. Army’s research enterprise by building strategic partnerships among the ARL, the U.S. Military Academy (USMA), Senior Military Colleges (SMCs), and the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Through faculty fellowships, immersive cadet research, and academic collaboration, the program aligns external research efforts with ARL’s modernization priorities—driving innovation that supports the future Soldier.
Participants at every stage of the academic pipeline—high school to postdoctoral research—gain hands-on experience working alongside Army scientists and engineers in world-class laboratories. These experiences cultivate scientific excellence, technical leadership, and enduring academic relationships that advance the Army’s science and technology mission.
