Reference Number: ARL-SRP-00081
Project Description
In the future, the US Army will need to fuse information across a highly complex network of sensors, uncrewed aerial and ground vehicles (UAVs/UGVs), and wearable devices. Therefore, data sources include multiple modalities (e.g., acoustic, visual, seismic), multiple vantage points, and must be processed as close to the edge as possible.
Successful applicants will collaborate with DEVCOM ARL researchers to create and/or implement approaches to solving this family of problems in theory, simulation, and/or experiments. Expertise in Python, JavaScript, Java, Docker, and Kubernetes will be useful for some projects.
By participating in this project, you will help bridge the gap between abstract distributed systems theory and real-world, edge-native resilience, directly advancing the foundational science of tactical cyber-physical systems.
