The 32nd Annual Army Research Technical Exchange (ARTE) returns to the United States Military Academy at West Point on 9–10 September 2026, hosted by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory (DEVCOM ARL) and the United States Military Academy (USMA). 
 
Since 1993, ARTE has brought together Army scientists, engineers, faculty, cadets, and Senior Military Colleges to exchange mission-relevant research through technical presentations, poster sessions, and collaboration that strengthens partnerships and advances Army science.

ARTE 2026 will bring together DEVCOM ARL personnel, USMA faculty and cadets, and Senior Military College partners to share research aligned with Army modernization priorities.

No. There is no cost to register or attend ARTE 2026.
The ARTE Welcome & Engagement Session will take place September 9 from 5:00–6:00 PM at the West Point Golf Clubhouse. It will include light refreshments, opening remarks, and a chance to build relationships ahead of the technical exchange.
Yes. Registered attendees will receive:
  • Breakfast and lunch on September 10 at the Riverside Café
  • Afternoon snacks during poster sessions
  • Dietary accommodations (vegetarian, vegan, kosher, halal, gluten-free) are available. Be sure to indicate your needs during registration.
All attendees must present valid government-issued identification to enter West Point. A Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID will streamline access and is highly recommended.

If you do not have a CAC or military ID, you must obtain a visitor badge through the West Point Visitor Control Center prior to the event.
Attendees without a CAC must check in at the West Point Visitor Control Center, located just outside Thayer Gate at:

Be prepared to:
  • Present a REAL ID–compliant government-issued photo ID (e.g., REAL ID driver’s license or U.S. passport)
  • Undergo a basic background check
  • State your reason for visit: "Attending ARTE at Eisenhower Hall"

Arrival Tip: Please allow 30–45 extra minutes on the morning of September 10 if you need to visit the center for badge pickup. Early arrival is strongly encouraged to avoid delays.

Optional Pre-Registration: Participants may pre-register by submitting their required access information through the ARTE 2026 registration form. This step can help streamline the check-in process, but you will still need to visit the Visitor Control Center in person and show your REAL ID to receive your badge.
No. ARTE 2026 is an unclassified event. All presentations must be reviewed and cleared at the public release level.

You will be asked during registration whether your material can be publicly released. If it cannot be cleared in time, it will not be accepted for presentation.

ARTE Registration Form

Attendance at ARTE 2026 is limited to DEVCOM ARL researchers, USMA and Senior Military College (SMC) faculty and cadets, and DoW-affiliated collaborators. This event is not open to the general public.

Attendees without a CAC will be asked to provide identification details during registration to initiate the West Point Visitor Control Center access process. A REAL ID–compliant photo ID is required to receive a visitor badge on-site.
