Project Description
Servicing the future battlefield will require reliable and resilient power resources. Diversifying power resources is a critical attribute for the ever growing technical and tactical applications. Anticipating these challenges, this project investigates the integration of non-traditional power generating technologies and challenges the results with servicing large power requirements, like directed energy.
This project is designed for up to 2 students, with each pursuing real-world STEM applications and experiences. The 2 topics: (1) Energy generation: learn about a power resource (s) and how it’s/they’re hybridized into a coherent electrical source. (2) Energy management: learn about meeting load requirements and how exploiting environmental opportunities can improve system optimization.
Technical Skills
