ROTC CAP

The ROTC Cadet Apprenticeship Program (CAP) is a summer leadership enrichment experience for ROTC cadets nationwide. Supported by the U.S. Army Cadet Command, ROTC CAP places cadets at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) for four weeks, where they gain hands‑on exposure to cutting‑edge science and technology while developing leadership skills essential for military and civilian careers.

  • Four‑week internship at ARL – Cadets work side‑by‑side with Army scientists and engineers on research projects that contribute to national defense.

  • All expenses covered – Transportation to and from the internship location is provided via commercial air, along with housing, meals, and daily commuting allowances.

  • Open to all ROTC cadets who meet program requirements.
  • The program runs July through August.
